  • 1 handful of well-fermented yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi)
  • 1 can of chicken breast (drained)
  • 0.5 pickled cucumber (optional ingredient)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the refreshing staple ingredients for this summer dish that will cool you down from the inside out.

Step 2

Pour 260ml of cold water into the versatile Dongchimi (radish water kimchi) broth packet that comes with the Nest Naengmyeon and mix well. Place it in the freezer for a short while to chill thoroughly.

Step 3

Have your homemade yeolmu kimchi and crunchy pickled cucumbers ready. These will add wonderful texture and flavor!

Step 4

(*Optional preparation) Pickled Cucumbers: Slice half a cucumber thinly. Mix with 1 Tbsp sugar, 3 pinches of salt, and 2 Tbsp vinegar. Gently toss and let it pickle for a bit. This adds a delightful sweet and sour crunch.

Step 5

In 800ml of boiling water, add the noodles and toppings (like chicken breast) and boil for about 3 minutes. Cook just until the noodles are perfectly chewy.

Step 6

Quickly rinse the cooked noodles under cold running water to remove excess starch, then drain them thoroughly. Place them in your serving bowl.

Step 7

Top the noodles with the crunchy pickled cucumbers. (This step is optional.)

Step 8

Generously add your well-fermented, flavorful yeolmu kimchi on top. Its refreshing tang is a key element.

Step 9

Add plenty of the drained chicken breast from the can. This adds protein and makes the dish more satisfying.

Step 10

Pour the well-chilled, slightly icy broth over everything. The cold broth will meld all the flavors together beautifully.

Step 11

Take a bite of this refreshing Chogye Yeolmu Naengmyeon that will chase away the heat! Stay strong and energized all summer long with this delicious dish!
