Simple Garlic Butter Shrimp
【Super Easy】 How to Make Garlic Butter Shrimp!
This recipe is so incredibly simple, it’s barely a recipe, but the taste is absolutely ‘thumbs up’ for the minimal effort involved! 🙂
Ingredients
- 25 Shrimp
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 30g Butter
Seasoning
- 2 pinches Salt
- 4-5 grinds Black Pepper
- 2 pinches Salt
- 4-5 grinds Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the shrimp by removing the heads. Then, make a lengthwise cut along the back of each shrimp and carefully devein it using a skewer or toothpick. (Tip: Asking your husband to help with the preparation might make it a fun cooking session! 😉) Thinly slice the 5 cloves of garlic.
Step 2
Melt 20g of butter in a frying pan over low heat. It’s crucial to maintain a gentle heat to prevent the butter from burning.
Step 3
Once the butter is melted, add the sliced garlic and sauté slowly over low heat. Sautéing the garlic until it turns golden brown and releases its aromatic fragrance is the secret to a richer flavor.
Step 4
When the garlic aroma is sufficiently released, turn the heat up to medium and add all the prepared shrimp. Sauté the shrimp, stirring occasionally to prevent them from sticking together.
Step 5
As the shrimp begins to turn pink, season with 2 pinches of salt and 4-5 grinds of black pepper. (Tip: If you plan to dip the shrimp in spicy-sweet ‘chojang’, chili sauce, or savory soy sauce, you can reduce the salt to one pinch or omit it entirely!)
Step 6
Continue to sauté the shrimp, searing them until they are lightly browned on both sides. This process will enhance the shrimp’s flavor as they caramelize.
Step 7
Since butter can burn easily, add the remaining 10g of butter when most of the moisture from the shrimp has evaporated. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp; sauté them only until they are slightly translucent. (⭐ Important Tip!)
Step 8
Following these steps will result in perfectly plump and juicy garlic butter shrimp! Using fresh shrimp instead of pre-cooked cocktail shrimp truly makes a significant difference in texture and flavor. Today, I enjoyed them with a cool glass of cider instead of beer, but they certainly make me crave a cold beer! This recipe is incredibly simple, yet guarantees a fantastic taste. Be sure to give it a try!
