Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for about 30 minutes. Soaking the rice makes it fluffier and tastier.

Place the soaked rice in a pot. Use slightly less water than you normally would for cooking rice (about 1.2 cups of water for 1.5 cups of rice). Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, gently stir the rice once or twice with a spatula to separate the grains. Then, cover the pot, reduce the heat to medium, and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 3
After 10 minutes, without letting it steam, immediately add the washed bean sprouts evenly over the rice. Cover the pot again and cook on very low heat for just 7 more minutes. The key is to cook them just enough to retain their crispiness!
