Ingredients
  • 500g Frozen Mango Chunks (using ripe, frozen mangoes yields the best flavor)
  • 100g Granulated Sugar (adjust to your sweetness preference)
  • 3 Drops Fresh Lemon Juice (for brightness and color preservation)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Start by preparing your frozen mangoes. If using fresh mangoes, peel them, remove the pit, cut into chunks, and freeze for at least 2 hours until solid. Place the frozen mango chunks into a blender or food processor. Blend until you achieve a smooth, fine puree. Ensure there are no large chunks remaining for the best texture.

Step 2

Transfer the smooth mango puree to a saucepan. Add 100g of granulated sugar. Feel free to adjust the sugar amount based on the natural sweetness of your mangoes or your personal taste. Begin cooking over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Gentle simmering is key.

Step 3

Once the puree starts to simmer and small bubbles appear, carefully add 3 drops of fresh lemon juice. The lemon juice enhances the fresh mango flavor and helps maintain its vibrant color. Stir well to incorporate it evenly throughout the puree.

Step 4

Continue to cook until the puree reaches your desired consistency, slightly thickened. Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely. It’s important to let it cool before bottling to avoid pressure build-up in the container. Once cooled, spoon the mango puree into sterilized jars and seal tightly. Store in the refrigerator for about 1-2 weeks.
