Essential Ingredients
  • 1 can (approx. 150g) canned tuna, drained
  • 1/2 stalk green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bowl (approx. 200g) cooked rice, preferably warm
  • 1 sheet of seaweed (for decoration)
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 slice processed cheese (for eyes)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, drain the canned tuna thoroughly using a sieve. Removing excess oil is key to a non-greasy and clean-tasting fried rice.

Step 2

Next, finely chop the green onion. Finely minced green onion will blend well with the tuna and seasonings, adding a delightful aroma and flavor.

Step 3

Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Add the drained tuna, gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and chopped green onion. Stir-fry everything together until well combined and fragrant. Be careful not to burn the gochujang, and ensure its flavor is well-developed by stir-frying properly.

Step 4

Once the seasoning and tuna are nicely stir-fried, add the warm cooked rice. Stir-fry thoroughly using a spatula, breaking up any clumps of rice and ensuring each grain is evenly coated with the delicious sauce. Once the rice is well mixed and heated through, shape it into a round form on your lunchbox or plate, ready for decorating.

Step 5

Finally, cut the seaweed into long strips to create the outline of Spider-Man’s mask. Use the processed cheese to cut out circles for the eyes, and attach them to complete the adorable Spider-Man gochujang tuna fried rice. This fun and flavorful dish is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike!
