Spicy & Sweet Dakgangjeong Kimbap: A Delicious Twist on a Classic
Delicious Dakgangjeong Kimbap Using HACCP Certified Fried Chicken
Let’s make a delicious Dakgangjeong Kimbap with HACCP-certified fried chicken for a tasty meal. This recipe transforms a simple meal into something special!
Key Ingredients
- 1 pack of HACCP certified Dakgangjeong (Spicy flavor)
- 1 bowl of warm, freshly cooked rice
- 2 sheets of HACCP certified Kimbap seaweed (seaweed sheets for sushi rolls)
- 4 fresh lettuce leaves
- 2 slices of HACCP certified processed cheese
- 1/2 carrot
- 6 sheets of pickled radish wraps (ssammu)
- 1/2 tsp HACCP certified salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare one pack of HACCP certified Dakgangjeong in a spicy flavor. This fried chicken will be the star ingredient of your kimbap.
Step 2
Wash and peel the carrot, then julienne it into thin strips, about 0.5cm thick. Place the julienned carrots into a plastic bag, sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of HACCP certified salt, and gently knead them. This process enhances the carrot’s natural sweetness and seasons them perfectly.
Step 3
Let the seasoned carrots sit for about 10 minutes to allow the salt to penetrate. After resting, squeeze out as much moisture as possible with your hands. Removing excess water is crucial to prevent a soggy texture and maintain a pleasant bite.
Step 4
Lightly grease a pan with a small amount of cooking oil. Add the drained carrots and stir-fry over medium-low heat until they become tender and slightly translucent. Be careful not to overcook; the goal is to bring out the carrot’s subtle sweetness.
Step 5
Lightly rinse the pickled radish wraps (ssammu) under running water and gently squeeze out any excess moisture. Cut the HACCP certified processed cheese slices in half. Having all your ingredients prepped like this will make rolling the kimbap much smoother.
Step 6
Spread a thin layer of warm rice evenly over a sheet of kimbap seaweed. Be careful not to make the rice layer too thick, as it might cause the kimbap to burst when rolled. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the rice, followed by the drained pickled radish wraps. Finally, generously place the warmed HACCP certified Dakgangjeong (spicy flavor) in the center of the kimbap. You can adjust the amount of Dakgangjeong to your preference.
Step 7
Layer the processed cheese slices over the Dakgangjeong, and then top with the stir-fried carrots, creating a generous filling. Now that all the ingredients are in place, roll the kimbap up tightly. You can moisten the edge of the seaweed with a little bit of rice to seal the roll securely.
Step 8
Slice the completed kimbap into bite-sized pieces, about 1.5cm to 2cm thick. Dipping your knife in a little water before slicing will help prevent the rice from sticking and ensure clean cuts. Your delicious Dakgangjeong Kimbap, with its prominent, flavorful chicken filling, is now ready! Enjoy this unique treat for a special occasion or a delightful meal.
