Main Ingredients
- 1 bag bean sprouts (approx. 380g)
Seasoning Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 stalk green onion (finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 4 Tbsp perilla oil (deulgireum)
- 5 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 stalk green onion (finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 4 Tbsp perilla oil (deulgireum)
- 5 Tbsp water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the bean sprouts thoroughly under running water and drain them in a colander. Place the washed bean sprouts directly into a wok or a deep pan.
Step 2
Sprinkle the gochugaru, soy sauce, and sugar evenly over the bean sprouts to allow the seasonings to penetrate. Gently mix to ensure the ingredients are distributed evenly.
Step 3
Add the finely chopped green onion and minced garlic on top of the bean sprouts. The aroma of garlic and onion will add wonderful flavor to your stir-fry.
Step 4
To prevent the seasonings from burning and to help the bean sprouts cook tenderly, pour 5 tablespoons of water around the edge of the pan. Finally, drizzle 4 tablespoons of perilla oil along the edge of the pan, coating the entire surface. Cover with a lid and cook over high heat for about 3 minutes.
Step 5
After 3 minutes, remove the lid and reduce the heat to medium. Continue to stir-fry for about 3 more minutes until the bean sprouts are tender and moist. It’s important to maintain a crisp texture without making the bean sprouts too mushy.
Step 6
Your delicious stir-fried bean sprouts are ready! Serve them over warm rice, or enjoy them with other side dishes.
