Ingredients
  • 1 Abalone
  • 10g Zucchini
  • 10g Carrot
  • 10g Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Baby Soy Sauce
  • Pinch of Baby Salt
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 5g Butter
  • 1 serving Rice

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the abalone thoroughly under running water using a brush to remove any grit. Gently push out the tough beak (located at the base of the abalone) with your thumb; this ensures a smoother texture for your baby.

Step 2

Carefully separate the abalone meat from its shell. Set the liver aside and finely chop the abalone meat into small, bite-sized pieces suitable for your baby.

Step 3

Finely mince the zucchini, carrot, and onion. Since this is a single serving for a baby, use small quantities of each vegetable. Mincing them very finely will make them easier for your baby to eat.

Step 4

Gently scrape the abalone liver with the back of a knife to remove any thin membrane. Collect the soft inner contents separately. This liver is the secret ingredient for the rich, umami flavor of the fried rice.

Step 5

In a bowl, combine the cooked rice (1 serving) with the prepared abalone liver and the butter (5g). Mix well until the butter is evenly distributed, adding a wonderful creaminess and nutty flavor to the rice.

Step 6

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat and add a little cooking oil. Add the chopped abalone meat and minced vegetables. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the abalone, as it can become tough.

Step 7

Once the vegetables are cooked, add the rice mixture (rice mixed with liver and butter) to the pan. Stir in 1 tablespoon of baby soy sauce for depth of flavor. Season with baby salt, adding only a tiny pinch at a time and tasting as you go. It’s important to keep the sodium content low for babies.

Step 8

Finally, drizzle in 1 teaspoon of sesame oil for a fragrant finish. Stir-fry for another minute until everything is well combined and fragrant. Turn off the heat and serve this nutritious and delicious abalone liver fried rice to your little one!
