Ingredients
  • 12ea Mookochoon Vienna sausages
  • 1.5 cups canned corn kernels, drained
  • 1/4 bell pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp sugar (adjust to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, score the Mookochoon Vienna sausages with a cross cut. Drain the canned corn kernels thoroughly by placing them in a sieve. Wash the bell pepper and dice it into small pieces, similar in size to the corn kernels. In a bowl, combine the drained corn and diced bell pepper. Add the sugar and mayonnaise, and mix well until everything is evenly coated. This mixture balances the sweetness of the corn with the freshness of the bell pepper.

Step 2

If you prefer less sweetness, feel free to reduce the amount of sugar. Alternatively, you can use corn syrup as a sweetener. For the best texture, it’s recommended to cook this dish on a hot plate or baking sheet rather than directly in a pan, as it helps achieve a crispier finish.

Step 3

Butter the oven-safe pan or baking sheet evenly. Spread the prepared corn and bell pepper mixture onto the buttered pan. Arrange the scored Vienna sausages on top. Finally, sprinkle with chopped parsley (or dried parsley flakes) for a touch of color and freshness. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through. Enjoy!
