Ingredients
- 150g Dried Shredded Squid (Jinmichae): Choose good quality for a tender, chewy texture.
- 1 Tbsp Butter: Unsalted butter is recommended for its rich flavor.
- 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter: Creamy, smooth peanut butter works best.
- 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise: Adds extra creaminess and richness.
- 1 Tbsp Sugar: Balances the salty and sweet flavors perfectly.
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the dried shredded squid into bite-sized pieces, about 5-7 cm long, according to your preference. If they are too long, they can be difficult to eat, so adjusting the length is recommended.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Once the butter has melted, add a generous tablespoon of peanut butter and stir them together. Be careful not to burn the mixture and stir gently until smooth.

When the butter and peanut butter are well melted and fragrant, add the prepared dried squid and stir-fry quickly. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, ensuring the squid is evenly coated with the sauce. Be mindful not to overcook the squid, which can make it tough.

Once the squid is coated with the sauce, add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise to enhance the creamy texture and stir-fry again quickly. The mayonnaise will melt with the heat, making the squid even more moist and tender.
