Step 2

Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. Once washed, transfer the rice to the inner pot of your electric pressure cooker and spread it out evenly.

For the best texture, use slightly less water than you would for regular rice when making oyster rice. This prevents the rice from becoming mushy. Since vegetables will release moisture, it’s best to measure your water amount before adding other ingredients.
