Nutrient-Rich Black Bean Soy Milk for Luscious Hair
Homemade Black Bean Soy Milk Recipe for Hair Loss Prevention and Health
As spring arrives, are you noticing more hair fall and feeling frustrated? If you’re concerned about weakened hair due to frequent perms, coloring, or seasonal changes, it’s time to take control with homemade black bean soy milk! This recipe will help you achieve both vibrant hair and overall health. My sister recommended it after seeing positive results, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Commercially available black bean soy milk often has a low concentration, meaning you’d need to drink a lot to see effects. Instead, why not try this easy and quick homemade recipe? It’s not just good for hair loss; black beans are also known for their anti-cancer properties. Let’s boost our health together!
Essential Ingredients
- The star: 100g of quality black beans
- For a hint of savory flavor: 1g of salt
- Boost of nuttiness and nutrition: 10g of nuts (choose your favorite)
- Optional sweetness: 1 Tbsp of honey (or allulose)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Start by soaking the beans! Rinse the black beans thoroughly and place them in a bowl. Add enough water to cover the beans completely. Let them soak until they swell to about 1.5 times their original size, which usually takes at least 6 hours. Soaking them overnight makes the process very convenient for the next day.
Step 2
Now, it’s time to cook the beans until tender. Transfer the soaked black beans to a pot and add water to cover them. Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium once it starts simmering gently. Skimming off any foam that rises to the surface will result in a cleaner, smoother soy milk.
Step 3
Once the black beans are fully cooked and soft, remove the pot from the heat and let them cool down slightly. Importantly, do not discard the cooking water! This nutrient-rich liquid will be used later to enhance the flavor and health benefits of your soy milk.
Step 4
In a blender, combine the cooled black beans, salt, nuts, and honey (or allulose). First, add the reserved cooking water, and then top up with fresh water until the total liquid volume is approximately 10 times the weight of the beans. While nuts add a lovely nutty flavor, too many can make the soy milk slightly gritty, so using about 10% of the black bean weight is recommended. If you prefer a smoother texture, feel free to omit the nuts. Similarly, if you don’t desire added sweetness, you can skip the honey or allulose and enjoy the natural, wholesome taste of black beans.
Step 5
Your smooth and creamy black bean soy milk is ready! Taste it and adjust the consistency as needed. If it’s too thick, add a little more reserved cooking water or fresh water. If it’s too thin, you can strain it slightly or just enjoy it as is. Whether served warm or chilled, your healthy and delicious cup is complete!
