Ingredients
- 200g Fresh Strawberries
- 150ml Fresh Milk
- 50ml Cold Heavy Cream
- Honey (to taste)
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp Vinegar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 200g of fresh strawberries. Wash them thoroughly under running water, pat dry, and remove the stems with a knife. Cut the strawberries into 2-3 pieces each, making them easier to mash or blend later.
Step 2
Now, let’s make the strawberry syrup base. In a bowl, combine the prepared strawberries, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, a little honey to your preference, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. For a sweet and sour balance, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Mix these ingredients well and let them sit for about 10 minutes. The strawberries will naturally release their juices, creating a delicious syrup base.
Step 3
It’s time to mash or blend the strawberry syrup. Use a spoon or fork to mash the strawberry pieces until smooth and chunky, or use a blender or hand blender to puree them finely. Whichever method you choose, you’ll end up with a rich strawberry puree bursting with flavor and aroma.
Step 4
Let’s create a smooth milk base. Add 150ml of cold milk and 50ml of cold heavy cream to the prepared strawberry puree. Gently whisk them together or mix using a whisk or a squeeze bottle. Be careful not to overmix, just stir gently until all ingredients are well combined.
Step 5
To make your strawberry latte visually appealing, prepare a glass. First, fill about 1/3 of the glass with the mashed or pureed fresh strawberry mixture. This way, you can enjoy the delightful texture of sweet, fresh strawberry chunks with every sip.
Step 6
Carefully pour the milk mixture you’ve prepared over the strawberry chunks in the glass. Pour slowly to avoid spilling over the sides. The layered effect of the strawberry puree and milk will create a more appetizing appearance.
Step 7
Finally, let’s add that cafe-like touch! Garnish the latte with fresh mint leaves or a few reserved strawberry pieces. Serve with a straw, and your beautiful strawberry latte, reminiscent of one from a cafe, is complete! It’s even more delicious when served chilled!
