  • 1 block Firm Tofu (pan-frying type recommended)
  • 3-4 Tbsp Yori-Jaeng-i Map-Juning (adjust to taste)
  • 2-3 Tbsp Cooking Oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Gently pat the tofu dry with paper towels, then slice it into bite-sized pieces, about 1.5 cm thick. Heat a pan with a generous amount of cooking oil over medium heat. Pan-fry the tofu until each side is golden brown and nicely browned. Aim for a beautiful golden-brown color.

Step 2

Once the tofu is perfectly browned, reduce the heat to very low or turn it off temporarily. Evenly and generously sprinkle the ‘Yori-Jaeng-i Map-Juning’ over the tofu. Using enough Map-Juning is key for the flavor to deeply penetrate the tofu, making it even more delicious! ^^

Step 3

Cover the pan with a lid or slightly prop it open. Let it simmer for just 1-2 minutes using the residual heat of the pan. The Map-Juning’s flavor will thoroughly infuse into the tofu, creating a moist and delicious braised tofu dish. Now, enjoy it with a warm bowl of rice!
