  • 1 bowl of cooked rice (approx. 200g)
  • 5-6 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic (15g)
  • 10g butter
  • Vegetable oil, generous amount (approx. 3-4 Tbsp)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the 5-6 cloves of fresh garlic thoroughly. Then, slice them into very thin slivers (julienne). The thinner the garlic slices, the crispier and more fragrant they will become when fried, enhancing the overall flavor of your fried rice.

Step 2

Heat a pan over medium-low heat. Add the thinly sliced garlic and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic. Pour in a generous amount of vegetable oil, about 3-4 tablespoons, ensuring the garlic is almost submerged. This oil bath will help fry the garlic beautifully.

Step 3

Now, it’s time to fry the garlic in the oil. Maintain medium-low heat and stir frequently to prevent burning. Fry the garlic until it turns golden brown and crispy. You’ll notice a wonderful, nutty aroma filling your kitchen. This slow frying process is key to unlocking the garlic’s deep flavor.
