Main Ingredients
- Fresh Dungeness crab meat 450g
- Succulent cooked shrimp meat 200g
- Umtre Jellyfish Mustard Sauce 10g (Adds a tangy kick and chewy texture)
- Broccoli sprouts 10g (For fresh and crisp texture)
- Red bell pepper 1 pc (For color and sweetness)
- Fresh endive 1 pc (Adds a slightly bitter taste and crispness)
- Cherry tomatoes 1 pc (Tossed with olive oil and balsamic sauce)
- Multigrain toast 1 pc (For heartiness)
- Gohung Yuzu Dressing (For a refreshing citrus flavor)
- Red chili threads 1 pc (For garnish, to enhance visual appeal)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the multigrain toast. Use a 6cm diameter mousse ring to cut out circles from the toast. Then, bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Crispy toast provides an excellent foundation for the salad.
Step 2
Gently pat dry the Dungeness crab meat and cooked shrimp meat with paper towels. Removing excess moisture is crucial to allow the sauce to adhere well and prevent the salad from becoming watery. In a bowl, combine the prepared crab and shrimp with the Umtre Jellyfish Mustard Sauce. Toss gently to ensure the sauce is evenly distributed. The zesty mustard sauce will enhance the seafood’s natural flavors.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, place the freshly washed broccoli sprouts. Add the refreshing Gohung Yuzu Dressing and toss lightly. The subtle sweetness and fragrant aroma of the yuzu dressing will beautifully complement the freshness of the sprouts.
Step 4
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Drizzle with olive oil and a touch of balsamic sauce, then toss gently to coat. The balsamic sauce will enhance the natural sweetness of the tomatoes, adding another layer of flavor.
Step 5
Now, it’s time to assemble the salad. Place the baked multigrain toast on the center of the plate. Generously pile the mustard-tossed Dungeness crab and shrimp mixture on top of the toast. Add the yuzu-dressed broccoli sprouts over the seafood. Thinly julienne the red bell pepper and arrange it for a vibrant splash of color. Finally, artfully place the balsamic-tossed cherry tomatoes to garnish the dish.
Step 6
Arrange fresh endive leaves around the salad for an elegant presentation. The slightly bitter notes of the endive will provide a pleasant contrast to the rich flavors of the salad, refreshing your palate. Garnish with a few red chili threads for a final touch of visual appeal, making the salad even more appetizing.
