Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the ‘leftover Tangsuyuk’ for cooking. It’s best if it’s slightly cooled, so the coating isn’t too hard. If the Tangsuyuk pieces are very large, you can cut them into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

Now, let’s make the delicious soy-chicken sauce! In a small bowl, combine 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce, 1.5 Tbsp cooking wine (like Mirin) for sweetness and gloss, and 1.5 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup). Add 1 Tbsp minced garlic for flavor and 4 Tbsp water to keep it moist. Stir well with a spoon until you have a smooth, lump-free sauce.

Step 3

Pour the prepared soy-chicken sauce into a heated pan over medium heat. Let the sauce simmer until it starts to thicken slightly. Be careful not to cook over high heat, as it might burn.

Step 4

Once the sauce is nicely simmering, add the prepared Tangsuyuk to the pan. Increase the heat to high from this point. Quickly stir-fry the Tangsuyuk to coat it evenly with the sauce. This will help maintain the crispiness of the coating while creating a flavorful soy glaze. Stir-fry for only 1-2 minutes to prevent burning.

Step 5

Finally, sprinkle a pinch of ground black pepper to enhance the aroma. Stir once more lightly after adding the pepper. By stir-frying the Tangsuyuk quickly over high heat, you’ll achieve a dish that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside – a delicious soy-chicken style Tangsuyuk! It’s best enjoyed immediately while warm!
