Main Ingredients
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 4 medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 Tbsp bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp green onion, finely chopped (white parts preferred)

Seasoning & Others
  • Pinch of salt (adjust to taste)
  • Pinch of black pepper (freshly ground for better aroma)
  • Sesame seeds, to taste (for nutty flavor)
  • A little sesame oil (for richness)
  • A little cooking oil (for brushing the toast)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare all the necessary ingredients. Get two slices of bread ready. Wash the shrimp, pat them dry, and finely chop them. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and finely chop it. For the green onion, it’s best to use the white parts for a crispier texture.

Step 2

In a bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, bell pepper, and green onion. Mix them well so all the ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 3

To the seafood and vegetable mixture, add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Sprinkle in sesame seeds for a nutty flavor and a little sesame oil for richness. Gently mix everything with your hands to ensure the seasoning is evenly incorporated. Taste and adjust the salt if needed.

Step 4

Using a knife, carefully trim off the crusts from all four sides of the bread. This makes it easier to eat and results in a crispier texture when cooked. Lightly brush both sides of the trimmed bread slices with cooking oil. Applying oil will help the toast become extra crispy in the air fryer.

Step 5

Spread the prepared seafood topping evenly over the bread slices. Be careful not to make the layer too thick, as it might take longer to cook. Place the toast in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for about 5 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy. Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model, so check halfway through and adjust as needed.
