Salad Ingredients
- 1/4 head of cabbage (approx. 200g)
- 1 apple (medium-sized)
- 2 sticks of imitation crab meat
Refreshing Special Dressing
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp vinegar (apple cider or white wine vinegar recommended)
- 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or honey)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice (using fresh lemon juice enhances the flavor!)
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise (adds creaminess)
- 1 Tbsp honey mustard (for sweetness)
- 1 tsp whole grain mustard (for texture)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp vinegar (apple cider or white wine vinegar recommended)
- 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or honey)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice (using fresh lemon juice enhances the flavor!)
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise (adds creaminess)
- 1 Tbsp honey mustard (for sweetness)
- 1 tsp whole grain mustard (for texture)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Thoroughly wash the cabbage under running water and drain it completely. Using a mandoline slicer or a knife, thinly and evenly shred the cabbage. Shredding it thinly will result in a more tender texture.
Step 2
Wash the apple, remove the core, and slice it into 0.5cm thick half-moons. You can leave the skin on for added color and nutrients.
Step 3
Cut the imitation crab sticks into bite-sized pieces (about 1-2cm long). You can also shred them lengthwise.
Step 4
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, vinegar, oligosaccharide, sugar, lemon juice, whole grain mustard, honey mustard, and mayonnaise. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk with a whisk or fork until all ingredients are well combined. Ensure the mayonnaise is fully incorporated without lumps.
Step 5
Place the shredded cabbage, sliced apple, and cut imitation crab meat into a large bowl. Pour the prepared dressing evenly over the ingredients. Gently toss to combine, being careful not to mash the cabbage and apple. The salad is best enjoyed immediately for maximum crispness, or chilled for a short period to allow the flavors to meld.
