Air Fryer Whole Baked Potatoes
Fluffy and Delicious Air Fryer Whole Baked Potatoes: A Healthy Snack for Kids
My parents sent me a generous supply of fresh, sun-ripened potatoes from their farm. Potatoes are an indispensable ingredient in our home, right up there with eggs and seaweed! Today, I’ve prepared a simple whole baked potato using the air fryer as a healthy snack for the kids. Even without many ingredients, the natural flavor of these fresh potatoes is truly exceptional.
Ingredients
- Potatoes (about the size of a child’s fist)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Wash your fist-sized, fresh potatoes thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry and arrange them in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Place them in the air fryer preheated to 200°C (390°F) and cook for 20 minutes for the first stage. This recipe is incredibly simple, requiring no special skills or complicated steps. However, the taste of these freshly harvested potatoes will truly exceed your expectations!
Step 2
After the first cooking stage, check if the potatoes are fully cooked through. If they still feel a bit firm, carefully flip each potato over in the air fryer basket. Flipping ensures that all sides cook evenly. For a delightfully golden-brown and crispy finish, I conducted a second cooking stage at 200°C (390°F) for another 20 minutes.
Step 3
And there you have it – perfectly baked whole potatoes! Isn’t that wonderfully simple? These are ready to enjoy with minimal effort.
Step 4
The potatoes are beautifully golden and perfectly baked. As they finish cooking, a wonderful savory aroma fills the kitchen. It reminds me of the baked potatoes with sugar sprinkled on top that my mom used to make when I was little. They are absolutely delicious when served warm!
Step 5
Because these are fresh, sun-ripened potatoes, the skins are thin and perfectly edible without any bitterness. You can truly savor the potato’s natural flavor – fluffy, sweet, and savory. Unlike steamed potatoes, these baked potatoes develop a delightful chewy texture as they cool, making them even more enjoyable.
