Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 300g of beef sirloin. Pat it dry gently with paper towels, then cut it into bite-sized pieces. This preparation will help the sauce absorb evenly, making it even more delicious.
Step 2
Next, let’s prepare the vegetables. You’ll need 1/2 red bell pepper, 1/2 onion, 1/2 green onion, and about 1 handful of oyster mushrooms. Cut these vegetables into bite-sized pieces, similar to the beef. Thinly slice 5 cloves of garlic. Adding a variety of colorful vegetables will make your dish look more appealing.
Step 3
Now, let’s make the delicious chop steak sauce. In a bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of ketchup, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Whisk everything together with a whisk or spoon until well combined. This sauce will elevate the flavor of your steak.
Step 4
Lightly oil a pan over medium-high heat. Add the prepared sirloin. Season with 2 pinches of salt and 2 pinches of black pepper. Quickly sear the beef, just enough to cook the outside. Cooking it too long will make it tough, so be mindful of the time.
Step 5
As soon as the outside of the beef starts to turn white, add all the prepared vegetables to the pan. To season the vegetables, add 2 more pinches of salt and 1 pinch of black pepper. Stir-fry everything together over medium-high heat, ensuring the vegetables remain slightly crisp and don’t become too soft. You’ll smell a wonderful aroma as they cook.
Step 6
Once the vegetables have started to cook, pour in the chop steak sauce you prepared earlier. Stir-fry quickly over medium-high heat, ensuring the sauce coats the beef and vegetables evenly. Keep stirring to prevent the sauce from burning, aiming for a glossy finish.
Step 7
Voila! Your sirloin chop steak, quickly stir-fried over high heat, is now ready. The bite-sized pieces are perfect for kids, and the addition of various vegetables makes it a healthy and satisfying meal. The combination of slightly crisp vegetables and tender sirloin is truly delightful. This versatile sauce isn’t just for chop steak; it’s also great for many other stir-fried dishes.
