Ingredients
  • 1 bowl of blanched spinach (previously prepared and frozen)
  • 1/2 bowl of shelled clams (frozen clams work well too)
  • 100ml of commercial miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons of tuna extract (adjust to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

In a pot, add 2 liters of water and 100ml of miso paste.

Step 2

Using a whisk or ladle, stir well to dissolve the miso paste completely in the water. Dissolving it smoothly will result in a cleaner tasting broth.

Step 3

Prepare the ingredients for the broth. Have your blanched spinach and shelled clams ready. Even frozen clams will yield a delicious soup.

Step 4

Once the water with the dissolved miso paste comes to a rolling boil, add the blanched spinach and shelled clams.

Step 5

After adding the ingredients and bringing it back to a boil, continue to simmer for about 5 minutes to ensure everything is cooked through. Then, taste the soup and adjust the seasoning with salt if needed. For added umami, stir in 2 tablespoons of tuna extract, but feel free to adjust the amount or omit it according to your preference.

Step 6

Ladle the deliciously cooked spinach and clam meat miso soup into bowls. It’s best enjoyed hot!
