Main Ingredients
- 300g Pork Belly
- 2 Scallions (Green Onions)
- Plenty of minced garlic (or sliced garlic)
Seasoning
- 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, heat a pan over high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the pork belly and cook until it’s golden brown and slightly crispy. When the pork releases its fat, add plenty of minced or sliced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
Step 2
Once the pork and garlic are well stir-fried, pour the 3 tablespoons of soy sauce along the edges of the pan. The soy sauce will caramelize slightly with the heat, adding depth of flavor. Quickly mix everything together to ensure the sauce coats the pork evenly.
Step 3
Wash the scallions thoroughly under running water. Slice them diagonally into about 0.5cm thick pieces (you can also cut them thicker if you prefer). Add the sliced scallions to the pan and stir-fry quickly with the pork. It’s important not to overcook them, so the scallions retain a pleasant crispness.
Step 4
Finally, add the 3 tablespoons of gochugaru and stir-fry everything over high heat until well combined. Be careful not to burn the seasoning. Once the spiciness of the chili and the refreshing taste of the scallions are harmoniously blended, your delicious Scallion Pork Stir-fry is complete! Serve it over hot rice for an exceptional meal.
