Main Ingredients
- 250g block fish cakes (about 2-3 pieces)
- 3 fresh shiitake mushrooms
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 stalk green onion
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup)
- 1/2 onion
- A pinch of sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, slice the fish cakes diagonally into bite-sized pieces. Slicing them not too thinly will enhance the chewy texture.
Step 2
Slice the green onion diagonally, similar in length to the fish cakes. This will add a fragrant aroma.
Step 3
Wash the fresh shiitake mushrooms thoroughly, remove the stems, and dice them into bite-sized pieces. The chewy texture and unique aroma of shiitake mushrooms are truly wonderful.
Step 4
Dice the onion into pieces similar in size to the shiitake mushrooms. This will add sweetness and depth of flavor.
Step 5
Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, sliced green onion, and onion, and stir-fry until fragrant. It’s important to sauté until the aromas of garlic and green onion are fully released.
Step 6
Once the garlic and green onion are fragrant, add the diced shiitake mushrooms and fish cakes. Stir-fry them together for 2-3 minutes until well combined.
Step 7
Finally, add 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, and 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide. Stir well to ensure the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly. Cook until the mixture is glossy and looks delicious. Turn off the heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve. Enjoy your meal!
