Main Ingredients
- Altang meal kit: 1 package
- Water: 800ml (approx. 4.5 Korean paper cups)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
The cod roe and pollock roe in the Altang meal kit are pre-cleaned, so there’s no need for further washing. However, it’s a good idea to drain any excess moisture that might have accumulated from refrigeration by placing them in a sieve. This helps to create a cleaner broth and enhance the natural flavors of the ingredients.
Step 2
Pour 800ml of clean water into a deep pot. This is roughly equivalent to 4.5 Korean paper cups. Add the seasoning packet from the meal kit to the water and stir to dissolve. Bring the broth to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling vigorously, carefully add the cod roe and pollock roe, after draining them.
Step 3
Once the roe has been added and the soup begins to boil again, continue to cook for about 3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook, as this can cause the roe to burst or become tough. After 3 minutes, add all the vegetables included in the meal kit and simmer briefly. Finally, gently place the enoki mushrooms on top. Your delicious Altang is ready to be enjoyed, featuring the chewy texture of the roe, the tender cod, and fresh vegetables in a warm broth.
