First, prepare about 500ml of cold water. Pour this cold water into a wide pot, and add the entire sachet of agar-agar powder for jelly (totaling 4g). Whisk lightly with a whisk or spoon to ensure there are no clumps, then slowly begin to heat it over medium-low heat. Once it starts boiling, continue to simmer for about 1-2 minutes to ensure the agar-agar is completely dissolved. It’s important to stir continuously to prevent burning or sticking.

Step 2

Remove the hot liquid, where the agar-agar has fully dissolved and become transparent, from the heat. Carefully pour it into your prepared decorative mold (you can choose any shape like square, round, etc.). Be cautious when pouring the hot liquid; hold the pot handle firmly and avoid splashing. Let the liquid in the mold cool down at room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator to set for at least 2-3 hours until firm. Chilling thoroughly is key to achieving a perfectly jiggly texture.

Step 3

Once the water jelly is firmly set and chilled in the refrigerator, cut it into bite-sized pieces as desired. You can cut it into squares, rectangles, or cubes – the shape is up to you!
