Healthy Potato and Vegetable Pancakes (No Flour, No Water)
Delicious Potato and Vegetable Pancakes Made Without Water or Flour
I’ve been on a diet lately and tried making these pancakes without flour. They turned out delicious and seem very healthy too!
Main Ingredients
- 6 Potatoes
- 1/2 Onion
- 1/2 Carrot
- Some Chives
- 4 Cheongyang Peppers (or jalapeños)
Seasoning & Oil
- A pinch of Salt
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- A sprinkle of Sesame Seeds
- Avocado Oil or Olive Oil, as needed
- A pinch of Salt
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- A sprinkle of Sesame Seeds
- Avocado Oil or Olive Oil, as needed
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the potatoes by peeling them and cutting them into manageable pieces. Place the potatoes and half an onion (peeled) into a blender and blend them together. You can add a pinch of salt while blending if you like, but I prefer to eat it with soy sauce for dipping, so I blended them plain. If you want to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, this method is recommended.
Step 2
Next, julienne the carrot thinly. Chop the chives into about 2-3 cm lengths. Finely mince the Cheongyang peppers after removing the seeds. Add all these prepared vegetables to the blended potato and onion mixture and stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 3
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of avocado oil. Ladle a portion of the potato and vegetable batter onto the hot pan. Use a spoon or spatula to spread the batter thinly and evenly into a pancake shape. Reduce the heat to low and cook gently. Using avocado oil makes the pancakes less greasy and more delicate, which is why I use it for all my cooking.
Step 4
Congratulations! Your healthy potato and vegetable pancakes, made without any flour or water, are ready! Enjoy them by dipping them in soy sauce. You’ve successfully created a dish that is both healthy and delicious.
