Essential Ingredients
- 1 pack Samyang Jjajangmyeon Ryan Edition
- 20 cm spring onion
- 1/4 onion
- 200g ground pork
Optional Ingredients
- 1 egg (for fried egg)
- 1/5 cucumber (for garnish)
- 1 egg (for fried egg)
- 1/5 cucumber (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the garnishes. Finely julienne the cucumber and thinly slice the spring onion. Dice the onion into bite-sized pieces for easy cooking.
Step 2
Preheat your pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Add the sliced spring onion and diced onion, and stir-fry until fragrant. Once the onions begin to turn translucent, add the ground pork. Break up any clumps of pork and stir-fry until it’s fully cooked and browned. Cooking the pork thoroughly is key to developing a rich flavor.
Step 3
Now it’s time to create the Gan-jjajang sauce. Pour the liquid sauce sachet into the pan with the cooked ingredients. Stir-fry over high heat for about 2 minutes. This process helps to meld the flavors and create a deeply savory and delicious sauce.
Step 4
Set aside the prepared Gan-jjajang sauce. This rich sauce will be combined with the noodles to create your finished dish.
Step 5
In a pot, bring 500ml of water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the Jjajangmyeon noodles and the included vegetable flakes. Cook for approximately 5 minutes, or slightly less than the package instructions, to ensure the noodles are al dente. Avoid overcooking the noodles.
Step 6
Drain the cooked noodles well and immediately transfer them to a serving bowl. Generously spoon the prepared Gan-jjajang sauce over the noodles. Finally, garnish with a fried egg and julienned cucumber, if desired, to complete your delightful Ryan-themed Gan-jjajang ramen! Enjoy your meal.
