Key Ingredients- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 100g cooked rice (preferably brown or white)
- 20ml water
- 15g onion
- 5g carrot
- 5g green onion (scallion)
- 30g crab sticks
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp corn syrup (or honey)
- 0.5 Tbsp sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, carefully check and prepare all the listed ingredients. Finely shred the crab sticks. Dice the onion, carrot, and green onion into very small pieces, suitable for a baby’s consumption.

Next, heat a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and spread it evenly across the pan.

Add the chopped green onions to the pan and sauté them until fragrant, creating a light scallion oil. Once the aroma is released, add the diced onion and carrot. Stir-fry until the onions become translucent and the carrots soften.
Step 4
When the onions are tender, push the sautéed vegetables to one side of the pan. Crack the egg into the empty space. Quickly scramble the egg using chopsticks or a spatula until it’s fluffy and cooked through.

As the scrambled egg begins to set, add the shredded crab sticks. Gently stir everything together—vegetables, egg, and crab sticks—and sauté for a short while, being careful not to break the crab sticks too much.

Now, pour in 20ml of water. This will help prevent the rice from clumping and ensure a moist texture. Stir to combine the water with the other ingredients.

Once the water has slightly reduced, drizzle 0.5 tablespoon of corn syrup (for a touch of sweetness) and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce around the edges of the pan. Let it sizzle briefly to enhance the flavors before mixing.

Finally, add 100g of cooked rice and 0.5 tablespoon of sesame oil for a nutty aroma.
