Main Ingredients
  • 120g Pork Belly (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1/3 Green Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 0.5 Tbsp Cooking Wine (Mirin)
  • 1 bowl Warm Cooked Rice
  • 20ml Water

Seasoning Ingredients
  • 0.5 Tbsp Beomil Ssamjang (Original)
  • 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes)
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • A little Sesame Oil (for finishing)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, place the bite-sized pork belly pieces in a pan over medium heat and stir-fry until golden brown. Once the pork belly starts releasing its fat, add 0.5 Tbsp of cooking wine to remove any gamey smell. Then, add the thinly sliced green onions and sauté together until fragrant and slightly softened.

Step 2

Now, let’s make the delicious sauce! Add 0.5 Tbsp of Beomil Ssamjang, 1 Tbsp of gochugaru, 1 Tbsp of sugar, and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic to the pan. Pour in 20ml of water and stir well to combine everything with the ingredients. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, ensuring the sauce coats the pork belly evenly and doesn’t burn by adjusting the heat.

Step 3

Generously fill a deep bowl with a bowl of warm cooked rice. Top it with a hearty portion of the glossy Ssamjang Pork Belly Stir-fry. Finally, for an extra touch, add a sunny-side-up fried egg on top. Your delicious Pork Belly Over Rice is ready to be mixed and enjoyed!
