Ingredients
  • 50g red beans
  • 20g short-grain rice (or glutinous rice)
  • 2 Tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 400ml water
  • A few pine nuts (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, measure out 50g of red beans.

Rinse the red beans thoroughly under running water. Discard any beans that float to the surface, as they might not be fresh. Drain the rinsed beans in a sieve.

Measure out 20g of short-grain rice (or glutinous rice). Using glutinous rice will give your porridge a chewier, more satisfying texture.

Step 4

Rinse the rice clean and drain it in a sieve.

Step 5

Prepare 400ml of fresh water.

Add the 50g of red beans, 20g of rice, and 2 Tbsp of sugar to your soy milk maker. You can adjust the sugar to your preference; 2 tablespoons provide a subtly sweet flavor. Finally, pour in 400ml of water.

Select the ‘Porridge’ (or similar) setting on your soy milk maker. In about 17 minutes, your delicious red bean porridge will be ready. It’s incredibly convenient!
