Easy New Rice and Tofu Baby Food
Soft and Digestible New Rice and Tofu Baby Food for Your Baby
A super simple baby food recipe made with freshly cooked new rice and soft tofu. Provide nutrition to your baby without any burden.
Main Ingredients
- 40g Tofu (soft tofu or silken tofu recommended)
- 30g Soaked new rice (or 20g rice flour)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Lightly blanch the tofu in boiling water to remove any raw smell and make it extra soft. Gently pat the blanched tofu dry with a paper towel. Then, finely mince the tofu into small pieces suitable for your baby to eat. (You can also pass it through a sieve.)
Step 2
Using a fork or spoon, further mash the prepared tofu until very smooth. Making it lump-free is important for your baby’s digestion. If you are using rice flour, you can skip this step and proceed directly to the next.
Step 3
Add 100-150ml of water to the soaked rice (or rice flour) and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, to make rice porridge. Cook until the rice grains are soft and the porridge has thickened. If the rice grains are not fully cooked, you can briefly blend them in a blender. Once the rice porridge is done, add the mashed tofu and simmer for a little longer to adjust the consistency. Your smooth and delicious new rice and tofu baby food is ready! (Adjust the amount of water according to your baby’s age to achieve the desired consistency.)
