Ingredients
  • Cabbage, about 1 handful (approx. 100g)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1.5 bowls of warm cooked rice
  • 1 tsp Cooking oil
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Oyster sauce
  • Pinch of salt (adjust to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, heat a pan over medium heat, then add and melt the cooking oil and butter together. The butter will add a wonderful aroma and enhance the flavor of the fried rice.

Step 2

Once the butter is melted, crack in 1 egg and stir-fry it like scrambled eggs until it forms soft curds. You can remove the egg once it’s cooked but still soft, without overcooking it.

Step 3

In the same pan, add the prepared cabbage and stir-fry quickly over high heat. It’s important to only stir-fry until the cabbage is slightly tender but still retains its crispness, so it doesn’t become too mushy. Stir-fry for about 1 minute.

Step 4

Add 1.5 bowls of warm cooked rice to the stir-fried cabbage. Sprinkle a pinch of salt directly over the rice for seasoning. Use a spatula to break up the rice grains and mix them well with the cabbage.

Step 5

Now, add 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce. Stir-fry thoroughly until the oyster sauce is evenly distributed throughout the fried rice and the flavors have melded.

Step 6

Finally, return the stir-fried egg to the pan and lightly mix it with the rice. If you like, you can add some finely chopped green onions or scallions for extra aroma and flavor. Mix everything well to finish.
