Make a Salad Sandwich with Salad Bread at Home!
Create a delicious salad sandwich featuring fresh vegetables, creamy egg, and savory ham. It’s perfect for kids’ snacks or a delightful brunch!
Sandwich Filling Ingredients
- 1-2 handfuls of cabbage (lightly packed)
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cucumber
- 1/4 carrot
- A little ham (or sausage)
- 7-8 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the vegetables that will add freshness to your sandwich. Wash the cabbage, carrot, and cucumber thoroughly, then thinly julienne them. Slicing them as thinly as possible will result in a softer texture that blends well with the sandwich.
Step 2
Just vegetables might be a bit plain, right? We’ll add flavor by using ham or sausage. If using ham, julienne it into bite-sized pieces. If using sausage, boil it in water until cooked, let it cool slightly, and then julienne it. (Be careful not to let the sausage burst while cooking.)
Step 3
In a bowl, combine the julienned cabbage, carrot, cucumber, and ham (or sausage). Gently mix everything together until well combined.
Step 4
Now, let’s make the sandwich sauce! Add 7-8 Tbsp of mayonnaise and 1 Tbsp of oligosaccharide to the bowl with the ingredients from step 2. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated. You can substitute sugar for oligosaccharide, and adjust the amount to your preference.
Step 5
Next, it’s time to prepare the eggs. Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat. Crack 3 eggs into the pan and fry them until golden brown on both sides. Cooking over high heat can burn the eggs, so pay attention to the heat control.
Step 6
Place the fried eggs on a slice of bread, then generously spread the salad mixture (made in step 3) on top of the eggs. Be mindful of the amount of salad mixture to prevent it from spilling out of the bread.
Step 7
Now for the finishing touch! Drizzle ketchup to your liking over the salad mixture, then top with another slice of bread to complete the sandwich.
Step 8
Finally, wrap the sandwich tightly with plastic wrap, parchment paper, or any packaging material to keep it intact. This prevents the filling from falling out, making it neat to eat and easy to carry. Enjoy your delicious salad sandwich!
