Main Ingredients
  • 2 potatoes
  • 200g seasoned beef bulgogi
  • 1 Tbsp pancake mix (buchim garu)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 handful pizza cheese (approx. 50g)
  • 4 Tbsp cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Peel the thoroughly washed potatoes and julienne them as thinly as possible. Rinse the julienned potatoes in cold water once or twice to remove excess starch, which will make them crispier. Drain them well using a sieve.

Step 2

Cut the seasoned bulgogi into bite-sized pieces. Heat a pan with a little cooking oil over high heat and quickly stir-fry the bulgogi until cooked through. Be careful not to burn it; cook just until the pinkness disappears.

Step 3

To the drained potato shreds, add 1 tablespoon of pancake mix, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Gently mix by hand, ensuring the pancake mix evenly coats the potatoes. Avoid kneading too vigorously.

Step 4

Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add about 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Ladle the seasoned potato mixture into the pan, forming thin, round pancakes. If the potato layer is too thick, it will take longer to cook.

Step 5

Once the bottom of the pancake turns golden brown and the edges start to crisp up slightly, carefully flip it using a spatula or chopsticks. Using two spatulas can make flipping easier.

Step 6

On the cooked side of the potato pancake, place the prepared bulgogi, followed by a generous sprinkle of pizza cheese. Then, carefully fold the uncooked half of the potato mixture over the bulgogi and cheese to create a half-moon shape. Gently press the edges to secure the shape.

Step 7

Reduce the heat to very low, cover the pan with a lid, and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Wait until the cheese is completely melted and the potatoes are thoroughly cooked through.
