Warm & Sweet Baked Brie Recipe
How to Make Simple and Elegant Baked Brie
Introducing ‘Baked Brie’, a dish that pairs perfectly with whiskey or wine, bringing a cafe-like experience right to your home. This baked brie offers a delightful contrast: a slightly crisp exterior and a molten, gooey center. The combination of sweet honey (or agave nectar), savory nuts, and tart dried fruits creates an irresistible flavor profile. It’s perfect for home parties or as a sophisticated wine accompaniment. Give it a try!
Ingredients- 1 wheel of Brie cheese
- 2 handfuls of nuts (walnuts, almonds, pecans, etc., to your preference)
- A small amount of dried blueberries
- A small amount of dried cranberries
- Agave nectar or honey, to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Cut the Brie cheese into your desired serving size. Using a knife or a bread knife will make it easier to slice. I’ve cut mine into 6 wedges using a bread knife. Cutting it into manageable portions ensures even cooking in the oven or air fryer.
Step 2
Gently prick the surface of the cut Brie cheese several times with a fork. This step helps the flavors to penetrate the cheese, resulting in a creamier and more flavorful baked dish.
Step 3
Drizzle agave nectar or honey over the cheese to add a touch of sweetness, according to your preference. Generously sprinkle your chosen nuts on top. The nuts add a lovely crunch and enhance the overall flavor of the Brie. You can add another light drizzle of syrup or honey over the nuts for extra deliciousness.
Step 4
Place the prepared Brie into a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes. If using an air fryer, set it to 180°C (350°F) and cook for approximately 5 to 6 minutes. Cooking times may vary depending on your oven or air fryer model, so keep an eye on it until the cheese is golden and melted.
Step 5
Once the cheese is beautifully melted and gooey, it’s time for the final touch. Sprinkle the dried cranberries and dried blueberries attractively over the warm Brie. The tartness of the dried fruits balances the richness of the cheese, making the dish visually appealing and delicious. Serve immediately while it’s warm!
