Warm and Fluffy Air Fryer Egg Bread
Perfect Kid’s Snack! Super Easy Morning Bun Egg Bread Recipe (Air Fryer)
On my way home from a quick outing, I passed by a food truck selling egg bread. The delicious aroma was so tempting! I debated buying one, but since I was alone, I decided to keep walking. Once home, the thought of egg bread lingered. Knowing my child would be home soon and looking for a snack, I decided to make some egg bread to match their arrival. This warm, soft bread filled with a perfectly cooked egg is a delightful treat. Let’s make this simple air fryer egg bread together!
Ingredients
- 3 morning buns
- 3 eggs
- Mayonnaise (to taste)
- Salt (a pinch)
- Dried parsley (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Using a bread knife, carefully cut off the top portion of each morning bun. This creates a space to hold the egg inside.
Step 2
Gently hollow out the inside of the morning bun with the bread knife or a spoon, creating a deep and wide cavity for the egg. Don’t worry if the edges are a bit uneven; you can neaten them up later for a prettier presentation.
Step 3
Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the inside of the hollowed-out morning buns. The rich, creamy mayonnaise will add a wonderful flavor. Use about 1/2 tablespoon and spread it evenly along the interior.
Step 4
Carefully crack an egg into the prepared hollow of each morning bun. Try to do this gently so the yolk doesn’t break prematurely.
Step 5
Before placing them in the air fryer, gently prick the egg yolk with the tip of a fork. This prevents the egg from puffing up too much and helps it cook more evenly.
Step 6
Sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt over each egg. Finally, for a touch of color and aroma, generously sprinkle dried parsley over the top.
Step 7
Place the prepared egg buns into the air fryer basket. Cook at 160°C (320°F) for 10-12 minutes, or until the egg is set and the bread is lightly golden brown. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
Step 8
Your warm and delicious air fryer egg bread is ready! Enjoy this delightful treat with your child, savoring the steam rising from the freshly baked bread.
