- 5 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp Honey Mustard
- 2 Tbsp Honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp Calamansi Juice Concentrate (adjust for tanginess)
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Begin by preparing the fresh fruits for your salad. Peel the pear and slice it into approximately 0.5 cm thick rectangular pieces. Wash the apple thoroughly, remove the core, and cut it into 0.5 cm thick rectangular slices, keeping the peel on for added nutrients. Pit the nectarine, and cut it into 0.5 cm thick rectangular pieces, peel on. Peel the kiwi and slice it into 0.5 cm thick pieces. For the mandarin orange, carefully peel it and remove all the white pith, then separate the segments.
Step 2
Next, prepare your vegetables. Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under running water and pat it completely dry. Tear it into bite-sized pieces by hand. For the green bell pepper, cut it in half, remove the seeds and inner pith, and then finely chop it into pieces roughly the same size as the fruit. Ensuring the vegetables retain their crispness is key here.
Step 3
Now, it’s time to make the delicious dressing that will tie all the flavors together. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, honey mustard, honey, calamansi juice concentrate, and olive oil. Whisk everything together with a fork or whisk until well combined and smooth. Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding a little more honey or increase the tanginess with extra calamansi juice to suit your preference.
Step 4
(This step appears to be a partial repetition and is integrated into Step 7 for a complete dressing preparation.)
Step 5
(The preparation details for the fruit, including slicing to approximately 0.5 cm intervals and cutting into rectangular shapes, have been fully addressed in Step 0.)
Step 6
(The preparation details for the bell pepper and lettuce, including cutting them into similar sizes as the fruit, have been fully addressed in Step 1.)
Step 7
Combine all the prepared fruits and vegetables in a large mixing bowl. Gently toss them together to mix evenly, ensuring that the flavors and textures start to meld beautifully.
Step 8
Finally, pour the prepared dressing over the mixed fruits and vegetables from Step 6. For the dressing: combine 3 Tbsp mayonnaise, 1 Tbsp honey mustard, 1 Tbsp honey, 1/2 to 1 Tbsp calamansi juice concentrate (use 1 Tbsp if you prefer a more tangy flavor), and 1 Tbsp olive oil. Whisk until smooth. Gently toss the salad to coat everything evenly with the dressing. Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh, healthy, and vibrant salad!
