Ingredients

  • 1 Shin Ramyun Cup Noodle
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 handful Shredded Green Onions (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 bowl Cooked Rice (about 200g)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, open the lid of the Shin Ramyun cup noodle. Set aside the dried vegetable and powder soup packets. Break the noodles into bite-sized pieces using your hands or a utensil. You can break them finely or leave them in slightly larger chunks, depending on your preference. For a better texture in fried rice, avoid making them too small. (Pro-tip: Crushing the noodles as if mashing them will help them separate better when stir-frying!)

Step 1

Step 2

Place the broken noodles back into the empty cup noodle container. Pour in lukewarm water, not hot, just enough to cover the noodles. Let them soak for about 1-2 minutes. While the noodles soak, heat a small amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat and sauté the shredded green onions until fragrant to make scallion oil. Once the aroma is released, add the two beaten eggs and scramble them. (You don’t need to add salt to the eggs, as the Shin Ramyun soup powder is quite salty.)

Step 2

Step 3

Drain the noodles completely after soaking. Add the drained noodles and the bowl of cooked rice to the pan with the scrambled eggs and scallion oil. Sprinkle in the Shin Ramyun powder soup packet you set aside earlier. Stir-fry over high heat, breaking up any clumps of rice and noodles with your spatula to ensure even cooking. (I tasted it, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced – not too bland, not too salty – so no extra seasoning was needed.)

Step 3

Step 4

To serve, pack the fried rice into the empty cup noodle container, press down firmly, and then invert it onto a plate. Voilà, your Shin Ramyun fried rice is ready! I was initially worried about an unusual taste, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious and satisfying. I never imagined ramen and fried rice could combine so wonderfully! This dish is not only easy to make with minimal ingredients but also incredibly filling. If you’re tired of plain ramen or standard fried rice, give this Shin Ramyun fried rice a try. It’s a culinary adventure you won’t regret!
