This fusion dish combines the deep, savory flavor of SARI GOMTANG instant noodles with the creamy goodness of milk and rich cheese, creating a luscious, thick pasta sauce. It’s a delightful twist on traditional pasta that’s surprisingly easy to make at home. Elevate your lunch with this unique and comforting noodle dish!
Main Ingredients- 2 packs SARI GOMTANG instant noodles
- 1 powder soup packet from SARI GOMTANG noodles
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 onion
- 8 cloves garlic
- 6 strips bacon
- 600-650ml milk
- 2 slices processed cheese
- 1 Cheongyang chili pepper (optional)
- 2 Tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese

- 2 flake soup packets from SARI GOMTANG noodles

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the aromatics. Thinly slice the onion, and thinly slice the garlic into rounds. If you like a bit of heat, halve the Cheongyang chili pepper, remove the seeds, and thinly slice it on an angle.

Cut the bacon into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm long.

For easier melting and incorporation, cut the processed cheese slices lengthwise into 2 or 3 strips.

Heat a pan over medium-low heat. Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil and let it warm up.

Add the sliced onion and garlic to the pan. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant. Sautéing these first builds a fantastic flavor base for the pasta.

Once the onions and garlic are fragrant, add the cut bacon. Cook until the bacon is golden brown and slightly crispy, rendering its flavorful fat.

Pour in 600-650ml of milk and add 1 powder soup packet from the SARI GOMTANG noodles. Stir well to dissolve the soup powder. Adjust the amount of milk based on your desired sauce consistency.

Add 1 slice of the processed cheese to the milk mixture and stir until it melts, creating a richer, creamier sauce. Bring the milk to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat slightly.

Once the milk sauce is simmering, add the 2 packs of SARI GOMTANG noodles. As the noodles soften, use your chopsticks or a fork to lift and lower them repeatedly. This ‘temperature shock’ method helps the noodles become delightfully chewy.

When the noodles are almost cooked through, add the sliced Cheongyang chili pepper (if using), a pinch of black pepper, and the 2 flake soup packets. Stir gently to combine everything.

Turn off the heat. Place the remaining slice of processed cheese on top, followed by the 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese. The residual heat will melt the cheese beautifully.
