While plain fried rice is delicious, separating ingredients by color and frying them individually allows you to savor the original taste of each component. Main Ingredients- 2 bowls of cooked rice
- 1/2 block of ham (diced small)
- 1 egg
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Tbsp Cheongju (rice wine, for egg mixture)

Beef Fried Rice Seasoning- 100g minced beef

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the seasoning for the beef fried rice. In a bowl, place 100g of minced beef. Add 1 Tbsp of Cheongju, 1 tsp of sesame oil, 1/2 tsp of salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix well with your hands and let it marinate for a short while. This step helps to remove any gamey smell from the beef and enhances its flavor.
Step 2
Next, we’ll make the egg mixture. In a small bowl, crack 1 egg. Add 1 Tbsp of Cheongju and a pinch of salt. Whisk thoroughly until the chalaza (egg white string) is removed and the mixture is smooth. Adding Cheongju will make the cooked egg softer and more savory.

Now, let’s heat up the pan to start the fried rice. Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Pour in the whisked egg mixture. Stir with chopsticks to cook it into fluffy scrambled eggs. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become dry.

Move the cooked scrambled eggs to the side of the pan, or transfer them to a separate plate for a moment. Add 2 bowls of cooked rice to the pan and gently mix it with the scrambled eggs. This way, the savory flavor of the egg will permeate each grain of rice, making it even more delicious.
