Key Ingredients- 1 pack (approx. 200g) seasoned steamed chicken breast
- Generous amount of fresh bean sprouts (a full handful)
- 3-4 Tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust spiciness to taste)
- Pinch of black pepper (to taste)
- 1 swirl (approx. 1 Tbsp) olive oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the chicken breast. For commercially available steamed chicken breast, microwave it for 1-2 minutes without opening the package to warm it through. This pre-heating step reduces cooking time and ensures a more tender texture when stir-frying.
Step 2
Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat and add a swirl of olive oil. Add the pre-heated chicken breast and stir-fry for about 1 minute. It should become lightly golden on the outside, enhancing its flavor. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become tough.
Step 3
Add the thoroughly washed bean sprouts to the frying pan with the chicken breast. Stir-frying quickly over high heat is key to preserving the crispiness of the sprouts. Stir everything together, mixing the chicken breast and bean sprouts until well combined.
Step 4
Once the bean sprouts begin to wilt slightly, it’s time to add the sauce for flavor. If you enjoy a spicy kick, add 3-4 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce. For a milder taste, a little soy sauce can be used. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly. Feel free to adjust the amount of sauce according to your preference.
