- 1/4 Onion (thinly sliced)
- A few fresh basil leaves (optional)

Step 1
First, wash the fresh cherry tomatoes thoroughly, remove the stems, and cut them into bite-sized pieces, either in half or quarters. Avoid cutting them too small to prevent them from becoming mushy.

Peel the onion and thinly slice it. If you prefer a milder taste, soak the sliced onion in cold water for about 5 minutes, then drain it thoroughly before use for a smoother flavor.
