Ingredients- 4-5 sheets of aged kim (slightly thicker than kimbap kim is preferable)
- 1/2 can of pink sausage (amount adjustable to your preference)
- 1/4 carrot (approx. 30g)
- 2 stalks of green onion (or 1/4 white part of a large leek)
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 3 eggs
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the vegetables. Finely chop the green onions and mince the carrot very finely. Mincing the vegetables finely like this will help them mix well into the egg batter and make the pancake visually appealing.
Step 2
In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs. Add 1 tsp of sesame oil and 1/3 tsp of salt. Whisk the eggs until smooth. Then, add the chopped green onions and minced carrot and mix thoroughly with chopsticks. Preparing the egg batter in advance will make the next steps much smoother.
Step 3
Carefully cut the aged kim sheets in half, either using a bamboo rolling mat or by hand. Be careful not to let them crumble too much. Gently coat both sides of each cut kim sheet with the prepared egg batter. Spreading the batter evenly so it adheres well to the kim is important.
Step 4
Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium-low heat. Carefully place the egg-coated kim sheet onto the pan. Arrange thinly sliced round pieces of pink sausage on top of the kim. Use a spoon to add a little more egg batter onto the sausage pieces to help them adhere better.
Step 5
Maintaining medium-low heat, cook until the bottom side of the kim is golden brown and slightly crispy, then carefully flip it over. Cook the other side for about 2-3 minutes until evenly golden brown. Your delicious pink sausage kim pancake is now ready to be enjoyed! Savor the crispiness of the kim, the savory sausage, and the fresh vegetables.
