Ultimate Hangover Noodle Soup (Hangover Cure & Lazy Day Meal!)
Simple Hangover Rice, Spicy Hangover Noodles, Hangover Soup Recipe
What is this taste? It’s truly delicious! Perfect for those lazy Sundays when you can’t be bothered to cook, or when you wake up with a hangover from the night before and crave something comforting. This recipe is inspired by my mom’s ‘Geolbei-tang’ from childhood, made with a mix of whatever ingredients I had in the fridge. It’s a magical hangover noodle soup that’s both simple and incredibly satisfying!
Main Ingredients- 1 serving of noodles (approx. 100g)
- 1/2 bowl of cooked rice
- 1 packet of ramen soup base
- 1 packet of ramen dried vegetable mix
- 1/2 stalk of green onion
- 1/4 onion
- A small amount of kimchi
- A small amount of canned ham
- A small amount of spinach
- 1-2 slices of fish cake
Seasoning & Others- Red pepper flakes to taste
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Red pepper flakes to taste
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your ingredients. I added spinach because I had some in the fridge that needed using up, along with fish cake, green onion, onion, and a slice of ham. Feel free to use any leftover ingredients you have! Be mindful not to add too many ingredients relative to the soup base, as it might dilute the flavor.
Step 2
In a pot, bring 600ml of water to a boil with the ramen soup base. You can adjust the amount of water depending on the quantity of ingredients. Don’t worry too much about the exact water amount; just aim for a general broth consistency.
Step 3
While the water is boiling, chop all your prepared ingredients into bite-sized pieces. You can chop them casually; no need for perfect shapes.
Step 4
Once the water is boiling vigorously, add the ingredients that take longer to cook first, such as the fish cake, ham, and onion. Add the noodles along with these ingredients.
Step 5
Gently stir the noodles with chopsticks or a spoon to prevent them from clumping together. Let it boil for about 2 minutes, then add the spinach.
Step 6
Add half a bowl of cooked rice (cold or warm is fine) and let it simmer for another minute before turning off the heat. The total cooking time after adding the noodles and vegetables is about 2 minutes and 30 seconds, with an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute after adding the spinach and rice.
Step 7
Now, enjoy your delicious meal! Seriously, what is this amazing taste? It’s absolutely fantastic! If you prefer it spicier, feel free to add more red pepper flakes to your liking.
