- 100g Garlic Scapes
- 3 sticks Imitation Crab Meat (or crab sticks)
- 1/2 Tbsp Salt (for blanching garlic scapes)
Tofu Mayonnaise Sauce Ingredients
- 1/2 block Soft or Silken Tofu (approx. 150-200g)
- 1 Tbsp Vinegar (apple cider or rice vinegar recommended)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (extra virgin recommended)
- 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tbsp Honey or Allulose (adjust to taste)
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1/3 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 block Soft or Silken Tofu (approx. 150-200g)
- 1 Tbsp Vinegar (apple cider or rice vinegar recommended)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (extra virgin recommended)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the Tofu: Gently press about half a block of tofu using paper towels to remove excess moisture. (Optional tip: For a milder flavor, you can briefly immerse the tofu in boiling water for about 10 seconds, then drain and pat dry. This helps reduce any beany taste.)
Step 2
Make the Tofu Sauce: Combine the prepared tofu, 1 Tbsp vinegar, 1 Tbsp olive oil, 1 Tbsp sesame seeds, 1 Tbsp honey (or sweetener), 1/3 tsp salt, and 1/3 tsp pepper in a blender or use an immersion blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy. Ensure all ingredients are well incorporated to achieve a luscious sauce texture. Taste and adjust seasoning, sweetness, or tanginess as per your preference.
Step 3
Prepare the Garlic Scapes: Bring a pot of water to a boil and add 1/2 Tbsp of salt. Add 100g of cleaned garlic scapes and blanch for about 20 seconds – be careful not to overcook them, as they should remain slightly crisp. Immediately rinse the blanched scapes under cold water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, cut them into bite-sized pieces, approximately 1-2 cm long.
Step 4
Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the blanched and chopped garlic scapes. Gently shred 3 sticks of imitation crab meat (or crab sticks) and add them to the bowl. Shredding the crab meat helps it mix better with the sauce.
Step 5
Serve: Pour the prepared tofu mayonnaise-style sauce over the garlic scapes and crab meat. Gently toss everything together until well combined and coated with the sauce. Your delicious and healthy sauce is ready to be served! It tastes great immediately or chilled from the refrigerator.
