Main Ingredients

  • 1 Lotte Foods Pork Loin Cutlet
  • 1/4 Cabbage
  • 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp Store-bought Tonkatsu Sauce
  • A pinch of Fresh Wasabi

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Today, we’re making a delicious lunch side dish using Lotte Foods’ thick pork loin cutlet. While there are many kinds of cutlets available, I chose this one because it looked exceptionally plump. It’s perfect as a hearty winter lunch side for my husband.

Step 1

Step 2

We’ll be cooking the cutlet in the air fryer for an extra crispy and delicious result. Preheat your air fryer if needed, then cook at 190°C (375°F) for 10 minutes. Around the 7-minute mark, flip the cutlet over to ensure even cooking and a perfect golden-brown finish.

Step 2

Step 3

While the cutlet is cooking to perfection, let’s prepare a refreshing cabbage salad. The crisp texture of the cabbage salad will beautifully complement the rich flavor of the pork cutlet.

Step 3

Step 4

Wash the cabbage thoroughly and make sure to pat it completely dry. Any excess water can make the salad taste diluted. Shred the cabbage very thinly with a knife for a smoother and more enjoyable texture. The thinner you slice it, the better it will absorb the dressing, making it even more delicious.

Step 4

Step 5

Nicely arrange the well-cooked, thick pork loin cutlet on one side of your plate. Next to it, generously pile the thinly shredded cabbage. Drizzle mayonnaise and ketchup over the cabbage in a 1:1 ratio to create a delightful salad. Feel free to adjust this ratio to your preference.

Step 5

Step 6

Finally, let’s prepare the sauce to enhance the cutlet’s flavor! Mix a spoonful of fresh wasabi into your store-bought tonkatsu sauce. The addition of pungent wasabi creates a more sophisticated and delicious sauce than the standard one. This combination of cutlet, salad, and special sauce is sure to impress your husband’s taste buds! He was very pleased with it.
