- 2 packs Ojingeo Jjamppong
- 4 slices of cheese
- 4 fresh eggs
- 5 bowls of water (approx. 1.5L)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
When Neoguri ramen isn’t available in the fridge, creativity sparks! Let’s unlock a new ramen world called ‘O-Paghetti’ using Ojingeo Jjamppong and Jjapaghetti you have at home. My kids absolutely love ramen, so I prepared 3 packs of Jjapaghetti and 2 packs of Ojingeo Jjamppong for a generous serving for 4 people. This fantastic combination will elevate your ramen experience to a whole new level!
Step 2
Pour 5 bowls of water (about 1.5L) into a pot and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling vigorously, add the noodles from 3 packs of Jjapaghetti and 2 packs of Ojingeo Jjamppong, along with the dried vegetable mix from Ojingeo Jjamppong. It’s important to gently stir the noodles to prevent them from sticking together while they cook.
Step 3
When the noodles are cooked to your liking, carefully drain about 1 to 2 bowls of the boiling water. Now it’s time for the key to the flavor – the powder soup bases. Add all 3 Jjapaghetti powder soup bases and all 2 Ojingeo Jjamppong powder soup bases! Are you worried that adding all the Ojingeo Jjamppong soup might make it too salty? Since we’ll be topping it generously with cheese and fried eggs, we boldly added the whole packet! The reason we didn’t drain too much water is that the starch in the Jjapaghetti soup base helps create a richer, more delicious sauce when there’s less water. Of course, depending on your personal preference, adjusting the amount of water or soup base will allow you to enjoy an even more perfect O-Paghetti. 😊
Step 4
After adding the powder soup bases, quickly stir with chopsticks to thoroughly combine the noodles and the sauce. The key is to ensure all the soup bases are evenly coated on the noodles without clumping. Finally, add about 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil (or the seasoned oil packet included with Jjapaghetti) to add shine and a savory depth, completing the basic cooking of your O-Paghetti.
Step 5
Serve the warm O-Paghetti appealingly on a nice plate. Now for the crowning glory! Arrange 4 slices of cheese on top of the hot noodles as desired and let them melt. The rich cheese flavor will blend with the spicy and sweet sauce, creating a sensational taste. Top it off with a golden-fried egg, and your ultimate O-Paghetti, perfect in both appearance and taste, is complete! Enjoy your meal!
