Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Start by soaking the pork ribs (800g) in cold water. Add 1 Tbsp of sugar and 2 Tbsp of cooking wine to help draw out the blood for about 30 minutes. Properly draining the blood is key to avoiding any gamey smell.
Step 2
After soaking, place the ribs in a pot and add enough water to cover them. Add 3 Tbsp of cooking wine, 1 Tbsp of sugar, about 10 whole peppercorns, and 2 bay leaves. Bring to a boil over high heat and simmer for 20 minutes. This initial boiling step makes the ribs wonderfully tender.
Step 3
While the ribs are boiling, let’s prepare the delicious soy sauce glaze. In a bowl, combine 4 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 0.5 Tbsp black pepper, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp ketchup, 1 Tbsp teriyaki sauce, and 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
Step 4
Once the ribs are boiled, drain them and rinse briefly under cold running water. Then, place the ribs in the prepared soy sauce mixture and toss gently to ensure they are evenly coated with the glaze.
Step 5
Let the glazed ribs marinate for 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to penetrate deeply into the meat, enhancing the overall taste.
Step 6
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Place the marinated ribs on a baking sheet (no need to preheat the oven itself). Bake for 20 minutes. For an even richer flavor and appearance, halfway through baking, take the ribs out, flip them over, and brush with any remaining sauce.
Step 7
Your delicious soy sauce glazed pork ribs are ready! They are best enjoyed warm, allowing you to savor the juicy meat. Enjoy your meal!
