Ingredients for Tartare Flavor- 600g Fresh Beef (for tartare)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Mirin (or Rice Wine)
- 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil or Perilla Oil
- 1 Tbsp Oligosaccharide (or Corn Syrup)
- 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 1/2 Tbsp Black Pepper
- 2 Fresh Egg Yolks
- A small amount of Pear (for garnish, optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 600g of fresh beef, the star ingredient for your tartare. Using beef specifically cut for tartare will yield the best results.
Step 2
Even fresh beef can have a little residual blood. Gently wrap the beef with paper towels and press lightly for about 5 minutes to drain any excess blood. This step helps remove any gamey odors and ensures a cleaner taste.
Step 3
Now, let’s mix all the seasoning ingredients to create the delicious tartare dressing. Sugar, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil (or perilla oil), oligosaccharide, sesame seeds, and pepper! This simple combination will create an amazing tartare flavor. Your delicious tartare seasoning is complete!
Step 4
Pour all the prepared seasoning over the drained beef. Gently, but thoroughly, mix everything together, being careful not to break up the meat. It’s important to ensure the seasoning coats the meat evenly.
Step 5
Arrange the mixed tartare attractively in a serving dish. Place two fresh egg yolks in the center. This will enhance the tenderness and richness of the tartare.
Step 6
Finally, garnish with thinly sliced pear for a touch of sweetness and crispness to complete your perfectly balanced beef tartare dish in terms of flavor, texture, and presentation! You can omit the pear if you prefer, but it adds a wonderful harmony to the dish.
